A man is in a serious condition after been stabbed and robbed in Hayfields in Pietermaritzburg.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene and found the man seated on the grass verge near the road with his shirt completely soaked in blood. The patient by this stage was in a serious condition because of the massive wound that he had sustained. The patient was stabilised and transported to Northdale Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
It is believed that the patient, believed to be in his mid twenties, was walking to the shops when he was attacked and stabbed by the suspects.
SAPS were on the scene and would investigate the incident further.
